Lone soldier rights after discharge

The short answerOn top of the regular rights, lone soldiers get: an advance on the release grant within about 14 days, up to ₪1,000 a month toward rent for 12 months in the first year, a free degree through Mimadim (with an honorable discharge), and up to ₪1,500 back for a psychometric prep course.
What you get
- An advance on your grant within about 14 days of discharge.
- Rent: up to ₪1,000 a month, for up to 12 months (₪12,000 in total) in your first year out. Rent only, not arnona or bills.
- A free degree through Mimadim Lelimudim, with an honorable discharge.
- Up to ₪1,500 back for a psychometric prep course.
- A free first year in the periphery: lone soldiers have 10 years to start, not 5.
- New immigrants may get a first degree paid by the Student Authority, depending on age and arrival date.
How to get rent help
Apply in the Directorate's personal area during your first year out. Your landlord signs a form, and you upload it. It's paid in 2 parts, for 6 months each.
